ABOUT OUR PRACTICE
Dr. Kobliner started his periodontal practice in 1985.
His philosophy from the outset has been to maintain and retain the patient's teeth in terms of health, function and esthetics.
Whenever possible, Dr. Kobliner emphasizes non-surgical periodontal treatment (deep cleaning) rather than periodontal surgical therapy. He prefers finding a way for the patient to keep their natural teeth rather than extracting them and replacing natural teeth with implants.
All new patients are given a comprehensive dental/periodontal examination and thorough instruction in oral hygiene. Patients with early periodontal involvement are treated in a more "conservative" fashion to prevent the condition from getting more advanced. In cases of advanced periodontal involvement, Dr. Kobliner's preference is to provide treatment that will allow the patient to retain as many natural teeth as possible. In certain cases, the preferred treatment will be to proceed with implants, bone grafts and tooth replacement. This will all be carefully evaluated and discussed with the patient.

Dr. Kobliner takes great pride in his practice. Our office is a modern dental office located in Great Neck, New York, with helpful and friendly staff. Dr. Kobliner uses the most up-to-date procedures and technology, but believes in maintaining the "old-fashioned" values that sometimes get overlooked in other periodontal practices. We treat each patient as an individual, with Dr. Kobliner performing all of the treatments, examinations and consultations, deep periodontal cleaning, surgical periodontal therapy, periodontal maintenance treatment, and dental implants that patients come to our office for.
Patients who arrive for their appointment on time have minimal waiting time before being seen. Appointments are scheduled to allow sufficient time for the necessary treatment and any follow-up instructions.
While many of our patients are referred to us by their general dentist, a referral is not necessary. Anyone who recognizes a need to see a periodontist can make an appointment with our office.

FINANCIAL POLICY:
Payment for periodontal services is expected at the time of treatment, unless other arrangements are made in advance, prior to initiating treatment. If you have dental insurance, our office will be happy to complete your claim forms and submit them to your insurance company. Your insurance carrier will reimburse you directly for any procedure that is covered by your dental insurance.
